It is the\nlargest space event on Earth, with over 8,000 events reported in 2019 and held\nin 96 countries. These events are organized by thousands of organizations,\nincluding space agencies, aerospace companies, astronomy clubs and museums. In\n2020, World Space Week is dedicated to satellites and their broad benefits\nunder the theme \u201cSatellites improve life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the global\npandemic, there are safe and exciting ways to participate and celebrate World\nSpace Week. The Highlights section showcases some of the creative, innovative\nand popular events bringing people together to celebrate space:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Celebrate World Space Week and its theme of Satellites Improve Life by simply <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldspaceweek.org\/news\/observe-satellites-during-wsw2020\/\">looking up and observing satellite<\/a>s from <strong>home<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Space4Women<\/strong> will be hosting a special World Space Week online event on the topic of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldspaceweek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Space4Women-WSW2020.pdf\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (otvara se u novoj kartici)\">Using Satellites to Improve Lives<\/a><\/li><li>The <strong>International Telecommunication Unio<\/strong>n will be organizing a webinar on the topic of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/myitu\/Events\/2020\/07\/23\/09\/02\/ITU-Satellite-Webinars\">Non-Geostationary Satellite Systems: entering into the era of broadband service delivery<\/a> on October 07. 15h00 -16h30 CET<\/li><li><strong>Society for Space Education, Research and Development<\/strong> (SSERD) will be organizing a 7-day (Oct 4-10) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sserd.org\/wsw2020\/\">FREE Online Program<\/a> for students of all ages, which will include lectures, workshops, competitions, and hackathons.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Izdvajamo s https:\/\/www.worldspaceweek.org\/: World Space Week is a UN declared celebration of space held annually, every October 4 to 10.
