As the summer holidays approach, many begin to wonder about which places to visit. For warmer locations there is the Amalfi coast, the # 1 picturesque Italian summer destination according to U.S News & World Report<\/em>,<\/a> with its 13 towns looking towards the Tyrrhenian including Sorrento, famous for its lemon groves, Positano, a pastel-coloured town, and Ravello, an alpine town. There is also Mallorca in Spain, Kefalonia, a Greek Island, and Singapore and of course Singapore Changi Airport as the World’s Best Airport as of 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, for the colder regions, there is Cape Town, with its average high of 20 degrees Celsius; the Andes for hiking; and the Swiss Alps for skiing. Additionally, you can visit Edinburgh, in Scotland, also called ‘The Athens of the North’, which has something to do for all people: shoppers, art lovers, history enthusiasts and theatre-goers. Finally, you can visit Queenstown in New Zealand, where you can bungee jump, skydive, white water raft, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the beaches, there is Cala Goloritze in Italy as number 1 <\/a>and Entalula Beach in the Philippines in second place<\/a>. You can swim in Fteri Beach in Greece with its cerulean blue waters and finally PK 9 Beach in French Polynesia with its huge palm trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, summer is the perfect time for reading and there are many different genres to enjoy. For dystopian fiction lovers, you can read The Handmaid’s Tale<\/em> by Margaret Atwood, The Giver<\/em> by Lois Lowry, and 1984<\/em> by George Orwell. In terms of fiction, there is The Perks of Being a Wallflower<\/em> by Stephen Chbosky and Eragon<\/em> by Christopher Paolini. Furthermore, there is Dracula<\/em> by Bram Stoker and Frankenstein<\/em> by Mary Shelly in the horror section. Last but not least, if you want to read a classic, there is Emma<\/em> by Jane Austen; Gone with the Wind<\/em> by Margaret Mitchell; The Scarlet Letter<\/em> by Nathaniel Hawthorne; and The Great Gatsby<\/em> by F.
