Even though the time for summer break is still far away, summer school applications have already\u202fstarted. For many high school students attending summer school programs is an opportunity\u202fto push academic boundaries, gain valuable experience, and prepare for the future. Across the world, prestigious summer school programs designed specifically for outstanding\u202fstudents are offering rigorous courses\u202fand\u202fhands-on projects\u202fin\u202funique learning environments. Since the number of interested students is increasing each year most collages that\u202foffer summer programs, including those in the United States of America,\u202fstart applications\u202faround December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the colleges that offers such programs is the NYU. The NYU\u202foffers the Career Edge-NYU High School Summer Program for all international and local students. In total\u202fthe program contains 18 courses which cover many categories including art, business, design, global affairs, law, media studies, real estate and writing. In\u202ftotal,\u202fthere are six 4-day sessions\u202fbetween June 23rd and August 8th,\u202f2025,\u202fthat are available for high school students with\u202fthe starting price per course being $2,579 and a $50 application fee. All high school students\u202fthat have successfully completed grades 9,\u202f10, or 11 are eligible to apply for the program\u202funtil March 15th,\u202f2025. However, NYU encourages students to apply early in order to\u202fmeet all the application requirements in time,\u202fincluding submitting a 250\u2013500 word essay about\u202ftheir\u202fchoice of course, English proficiency test results and a student Visa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another college that offers a summer school program is Stanford. Stanford University offers an\u202f8 weeklong program starting on June 24th and ending on August 18th , 2025. This program offers\u202fover 130 courses for high school students with the possibility of taking multiple courses\u202fat the same time. For international students\u202fStandford provides a living space on campus\u202fas well as a meal plan with the starting price of $18,443. Applications for this programs\u202fare available in multiple stages with the\u202fEarly Decision submission deadline being on December 13th ,\u202f2024, and the last stage, the High School Waitlist submission deadline being on\u202fMarch 7th , 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unlike\u202fthe\u202fNYU and Stanford there is also a number of collages that offer scholarships for their summer\u202fschool programs. One of these is also Harvard\u202fUniversity, which\u202foffers two Secondary School Programs, one being the 4-week program between July 13th\u202fand August 8th and\u202fa 7-week program between June 21st and August 9th . In\u202ftotal,\u202fthere are over 200 college credit\u202fcourses students can choose from ranging in various topics from humanities to STEM. The applications for this program start on December 2nd, 2024, and all international students are\u202fasked to apply before February 12th , 2025, to receive a Student Visa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a summer school program provided by the University of Yale, which\u202fcovers various courses in STEM, social sciences, humanities and other fields. The overall\u202frequirements for application include\u202fthe\u202flist of activities, one 400-word essay and one 200-word response, two \u201cfast take\u201d responses (280 characters each),\u202fan\u202fofficial school transcript\u202fand one letter of recommendation. There are three sessions in total from June 22nd to August\u202f1st, 2025.
